You expect that kind of lame argument from, say, Kobe Bryant's defense team, but no, now we get it from the Sudanese government regarding women raped in Darfur. Needless to say, the U.N. thinks "there is a serious gap or disconnect between the perception of the reality on the ground by the government and the perception of that reality by everybody else." This may become a nominee for "Understatement of the Year".
