I'm interested in what to name my new site:
a)shoutingintothewind.com
b)something different -- I think your blog name is stupid
c)shawna-benson.com
d)I have a great idea how about (your idea here).
If I get a lot of D suggestions, maybe I'll run a contest. I'm sure I could come up with some kind of prize...
Feedback of any kind is appreciated.

I've always thought "shouting into the wind" was unique and made a mark. I'd do - shoutingintothewind.com.
I agree...stick with shouting into the wind
Since you concentrate on TV matters -- how about "Inside the Box?"
Where are you hosting? DreamHost gives you a free domain registration and I highly recommend them. You can have it both ways -- register shawnabenson.com for free with dreamhost, and get shoutingintothewind.com for $2.95 at iPower and have it forward visitors automatically to shawnabenson.com. Or vice versa.
My preference has always been to use my name as my domain, because that will never change. I may decide to chuck the Man Bytes Hollywood title someday, but not my name. Plus, I'll never have to change my email address. Unless I end up in the witness protection program.
www.shoutingintothewind.com
You've established it so solidly, it's pretty much a brand.
And, for some, as they try to find you after you migrate, "shoutinginto~" will be what they Google.
Plus: I love the idea of it, facing the wind, no matter how hard it tries to push you, with an optimist's defiance...
That's my 2¢
You could alwasy try for "google.com" and savor the free publicity you get from the lawsuits.
Otherwise I think the best option has already been described-- keep the 'shoutingintothewind" thing as it's well-established, lock down your name as a new domain, then refer folks to the site you wanna stick with.

One more vote for SITW. Why fix it if it ain't broke?
Sticking with what people know you for is the safe way to go...unless you are wanting to try something different or create a new image on new site...'Shawna Shouts'?
Shouting Into The Wind-Works for me!
Keep your brand.
You picked your brand, now you gotta live with it.
And it works.
I agree with the guy who says get both. Get the domain with your name, even if it just forwards to something else.
Besides, when you're a famous showrunner, your name will be a brand, even if you're known throughout the scribosphere under the Shouting Into The Wind label.
Shawna Says
I too agree with get both. For the site, I personally like keeping it shoutingintothewind.com, but doesn't hurt to grab shawna-benson.com, esp since you're bound to be a famous writer.
Another vote for shoutingintothewind.com.
/me votes for shoutingintothewind.com
Ha, I like Shawna Says...but- hard to not to go with a name that's become so well ingrained within the topic searches.
Good work
Yeah keep Shouting....
