Huh. I sort of like Twins (Sarah's so likeable), but I thought these two were ravaged by critics and bad ratings. Interesting.
Since I learn so much from you Obi-Wan, what is a traditional Back 9 pickup? Is that nine more eps?
Yes, the "back nine" refers to the remainder of a season. Typically when a show is produced, they are given an order for 13 episodes. A season is now 22 episodes long, so if the series scores the ratings the network likes, they'll order the remaining 9 episodes.
In the case of a few shows, this year it includes "My Name is Earl", the network may order more than 9. Earl has a 24 episode season this year, since the show is doing well.
