Discussion topic - treatments

I have to write a treatment for my TV pilot (don't ask, no I haven't sold or pitched anything yet).

How would you write it -- narrative 2 page summary of the story? Or outline style, split between the Teaser and four acts?

Discuss.

To be honest Shawna... I'd do everything you need to enter the Scriptapalooza pilot contest so you can at least entire it when it's done.
I think they want a 2 page summary. Character backgorunds and summaries, Show bible for first 8-10 episodes and the finished pilot script.

Inked, INXS, and invisible cars: What's on tonight
You guessed it: The U.S. Open continues on USA at 7pm. A good match tonight: Andre Agassi vs ... Also at 9, ABC continues to run Lost in odd order, but maybe it's getting people interested in the new season and the season one DVD set.

I do the outline-split-between-the-acts bit when I do the treatment.

I'd do teaser/ 4 act, but usually the human asking for it specifies.

Just to follow up, I did write this as teaser & 4 act summaries. I'm rewriting it this week and doing character bios.
